Started with 3 friends...

Then those 3 friends got married and had some babies. Now there is 15 kiddos from those 3 friends! How wonderful is that?! We all met at Michelle's lovely home for a Halloween dinner and dessert party. Most of the children were in their (adorable) costumes. Some were too cool for that (WILL!!!)
Robert made a delicious gourmet chicken and sausage spaghetti and Michelle made the yummy side salad, (well, actually she opened the bag and put the lettuce in a bowl...Rob made the dressing!!)

 Big kids table...
 Little kids table...

The cute little cupcake had a little too much cupcake!

Dessert time! I brought rainbow and chocolate cupcakes that the kids decorated with white frosting and Halloween sprinkles. It was a lot of fun but WAY TOO MESSY! Us adults ate some rich Texas Sheet Cake, with milk. We also played "Two Truths and a Lie" and we all laughed a ton. Michelle was even crying at some moments!

Janae, Michelle and I...friends since before we were mothers or wives. We were college roommates at Branbury Apartment in Provo, Utah. We had a lot of fun together and made lots of wonderful memories! I love you ladies!!

Amazing dinner

I love to bake and cook and there are a few things that I'm really good at. I enjoy finding new recipes on Martha or the food network channel.

But, last night was an extra yummy dinner. In fact it was so simple anyone could of made it and loved it as much as my family did. And requires NO recipe! YEAH!

We had lemon peppered halibut steaks, grilled balsamic shrimp, some steamed veggies (broccoli and cauliflower) and a side salad (with tomatoes, green peppers, carrots and a little shredded mozzarella cheese). The veggies that we had on the side and in our salad were all the ones growing in my garden. As we ate the yummy dinner we talked about healthy food, items that are growing in the garden, being farmers....It was a mini FHE. It was fun and tasty with every bite!
