Halloween 2012

As usual, the Halloween season was jam packed with fun parties and activities. On Halloween morning, the kids had their Halloween parade at Rosecrest Elementary School; which is always fun to watch.
Brigham was a pirate (the same costume Will was when he was in Kindergarten) and Brigham is still in pre-school!
Cute Nathan was a football player, just like his older brothers!
Jackson was a vampire...And Tyler wore his football uniform as his costume.
After the parade, were Halloween parties galore! We started in the preschool room with Nathan and Brigs.

Later that afternoon, we headed to Trick 'r Trunk in our neighborhood. Next, we headed to our cousin Angie's house for homemade root beer and chili.
Gavin dressed like a doctor for school, but wanted to be a zombie too. Scott decided to dress up and do the same thing!

Cute Preston was a dragon and a giraffe. I bought a darling Pea costume, but it didn't end up fitting. He's so tall! Half the day he wore the dinosaur (Will, Jackson and Tyler did too for their first Halloween!) But blew it out and we had to change into the giraffe costume. I wore all black, added some glittery makeup and huge fairy wings. Done. Easy. Fun.

Trick or treating was fun. We headed to a neighborhood near our cousins' house where there are a lot of rich people. They handed out full size candy bars to the kids!
The house above had a scary witch, and Nathan was about to abort when he saw her. We coxed him onto the porch.

About an hour into trick or treating we were able to get this shot with the three little ones together (the 3 big boys had taken off with friends and were gone for another 2 hours). Everyone had huge bags full of candy. It was a fun Halloween!

Easter Sunday

After church on Sunday the boys changed their clothes and hunted to find their baskets. After the boys all found them, we went to the backyard for our annual Easter Egg Hunt Extravaganza. There were tons of eggs hidden in the yard, all over the yard. All with candy, except 3. Two silver eggs and $2.00 and a golden egg had $5.00 inside. I let the little ones out a few minutes ahead of the big boys, but the big boys still found them all!

All the boys got candy in their baskets with a few eggs that held some change in them. Each of them received a small gift from the bunny. Nathan and Brigham received bubbles and chalk. Gavin and Tyler received a DVD they both wanted. Jackson received this cool hat he;s been asking for. And will wanted new shades (because he's cool like that!)

This picture of Will gets me, bad. He looks like a teenager! Almost a missionary! Crazy how times flies!
Sweet Nathan wanted nothing to do with the egg hunt. He was too busy eating all his candy out f his basket. And Brigham could care less about the silver and gold eggs, all he wanted was the candy. He found 3x as many eggs as the other boys!
Earlier that morning 5 of the boys sang in church with the other Primary kids. They sang beautifully!  After all the egg hunts we ate ham, twice baked potatoes, veggies, homemade rolls... Delicious!

4th of July family BBQ

We had a fun BBQ at Bubbles house with over 20 AWESOME family members! The kids played in the slip-n-slid, we ate some delicious food (more on that a tad later!!), and had a delightful time with everyone.

I made some home made salsa (the cilantro, onions and jalapeno pepper were from my garden!! HOLLER!!) I also made some other dips, delicious corn on the cob and red, white and blue homemade cupcakes, so much better that those box kinds!!
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!!!!!!

Fourth of July Festival

After the 4th of July parade there was a fun festival in a nearby park. I walked the two little ones over as the other big boys rode their bikes. There was a lot of fun thing for the boys to do, yummy things to eat and fun things to see. I sure love this time of year!

Memorial Day at the cemetery

Wasatch Lawns is right down the street from my house. My grandma, grandpa, great grandma, great grandpa, great uncles, an aunt and other relatives are laid to rest there. I took my boys and we met some cousins there to show some respect. The cemetery was beautiful. There were flowers on EVERY grave stone. There were flags next to every veteran. There were a ton of people there. it was beautiful!

What beautiful cousins I have!
What wonderful family members I have!
Happy Memorial day!!
