Fun Weekend!

We decided to head out after school on Wednesday and go to San Diego, one of our new favorite places to visit. Papa bought us year passes for Sea World, THANK YOU Papa! On Thursday we spent all day at the beautiful park with Nana and Papa. Scott was able to vacation with us this time, which was extra special! He normally doesn't come along because of his crazy schedule!
It was fun to hang out with them for the day. We hit every show. The Shamu show was probably the best, but the Pet's Rule was a definite second. We bought little fish so the boys could feed the seals and the sting rays. Nana bought everyone a stuffed animal or a toy at the end of the day. It was pretty warm out, but not like Mesa. I felt pretty good all day, though I started waddling pretty early on in the day! :)
On Friday we went to Sea World again, only for a few hours. Again, it was pretty toasty but we had such a fun time! We drove a few hours to Palm Springs and stayed there another night. Oh, man was it HOT there! 118 record high. And you could tell. My skin was literally burning! My eye lids even hurt. The pools there were awesome and the boys had a blast splashing around in the water for several hours.
On Sat. we headed to Las Vegas, another one of are favorite cities to visit. We arrived in the early afternoon and headed straight for the pool area again. The resort has great kid pools and again my boys were in heaven playing around in the water. I made dinner and then we headed down to the strip. We always go to the Luxor first, to see if we can catch Criss Angel. We walk around to the front to see his motorcycles and cars outside and then to his gift shop inside. He was there, but of course we didn't see him! Will was bummed. He walked to the Excalibur and went straight to the arcade/game are down stairs. The boys always find lots of money that they then can use to play more games. It's a win, win for everyone!
My favorite thing to do in Vegas is to go to Bellagio and watch the water show. LOVE IT! We were driving over there and the water show was going on. We rolled down our windows and enjoys a little of the music. The boys all loved seeing it too, but were getting too tired to stick around for another showing. So, we headed back to our resort.
On Sunday we went to church and then headed out of town. It was a lot of traveling. A lot of loading and unloading suitcases. But it was also a lot of fun and the boys did really well.

Salt Lake City Temple

A couple weeks ago I flew ALL BY MYSELF to SLC to visit family and play before the baby comes. It was SO much fun hanging out with some of my family! The weather was great. On the last day there we stopped off at temple square and walked around for a bit. It's such a beautiful place and the temple is breathtaking. This is where Scott and I were married. I wanted to get a few cool shots of the temple to blow up and put in Scott's office. (blow up= enlarge!)

Here are a few good ones!

A heart Wrenching story...

One of my friends from the ward posted something on her Face Book about one of her friends blogs and how incredibly sad it was. So I began to be curious about it and thought I may know this gal. I googled her name and found her blog. I ended up not knowing her at all but what a profound effect she has now made on me in my life.

I haven't stopped crying for the past hour thinking of what she so eloquently wrote on her blog. There was a huge tragedy in her family that struck a cord with me and I know it would for you too. WARNING! It's incredibly sad, but then makes you think about how blessed we all are.

Her blog is: http://kamandjami.blogspot.com

So when your husband leaves his socks on the floor, or forgets to take the trash out in the morning, I will remember how insignificant all that is. I am so thankful for my husband, my best friend. I love him so much, words can't describe to you. He is the love of my life. A wonderful dad to all my boys, and a great person. I promise to him and all of you I will be a better wife, friend, and mother.

My big Cub Scout!

Last pack meeting Will won a very special award. All the boys participated in all these different games. The winner of the entire event was WILL!! He was presented with the pack flag and did a victory lap around the gym. He had no idea he had won. It was fun and exciting to be part of that special evening!

4 Weeks to go!!

Ok, the count down is now REALLY on! My good friend Zan had her little baby bay 2 days ago. Another good friend Reyna went into the hospital this morning. Another friend is due any day and then there's ME!

I am so, so, so, so excited for this little hunk of heaven to come to me. I can't wait to see him and meet him and kiss his chubby little checks! I keep envisioning holding and nursing this tiny little baby, but I can never see his face and I still have NO CLUE what his name is gong to be!

When September rolls around that's when I'll bring in the bassinet, the boppy, his clothes, toys...etc. I am very excited! I have not yet found his blessing outfit. Which is weird for me because I usually have it purchased before I'm even pregnant. I see it and just know it's PERFECT! My sweet cousin, Ang, bought his outfit to take him home from the hospital in. THANK YOU! It's adorable. It's a white little jumper with brown polka dots with a matching beanie from the Gap.

A little Daddy Time!

It's so cute to watch Gavin and especially Brig's get so excited when their dad comes home, or when they see him for the first time that day. It's like Disneyland. All the kids love spending time with and hanging out with Scott, but it's real special to watch it first hand. The look the boys get in their eyes literally brings tears to mine. It's so wonderful that each boy has a special bond and connection with their dad. (I wonder why that would mean something to me? :) )

We're at dinner and Scott arrived a little late and the boys almost tackled him out of the booth we were sitting in they're so excited to see him!

Scott Graduated!

Last weekend Scott graduated from the PA program from A. T. Still University here in Mesa. (PA means Physicians Assistant). It was such a great feeling to have finally graduated and completed this long chapter in our lives. Sure, Scott was the student, but I also finally graduated too!

After his graduation we had a party at our friends house, the Udall's. There was a large water jumper slide thingy for the kids and we BBQ tri tip, salmon, and hot dogs. It was fun and we had a pretty good turn out. THANKS to all our friends who made the event extra special for Scott!

He has been extremely disciplined and focused these last few weeks on studying for his PA test. He will take that test next Wednesday. When that test is over, it will be smooth sailing from there on out. He has already been offered a job and they are just patiently waiting for Scott to pass the test. He's on the schedule to work in the middle of Sept., but could go in earlier if he finds out sooner. This is all so exciting! We're almost grown-up's with real jobs! :)

YEAH for Scotty! I am so proud of you!

Thanks for all your hard work and dedication!

First day of School!

The boys started school on Wednesday, August 5th at Liberty Arts Academy here is Mesa. They were so excited! Will is 9 yrs. old and in the 5th grade with Mrs. Menderos. Jackson is 7 in the 3rd grade with Mrs. Welch. (Will had her too!) Tyler is 5 yrs. old and starting the 1st grade with Ms. Hertnicky. Gavin is 3 and in pre-school again just 2 days a week with Ms. Beverly.

The next day was Gavin's first day of school. He has been so excited about this day for so long. He was kinda bummed when he couldn't stay on Wednesday like the other boys. I work in the school library on Tues. and Thurs. when Gavin has pre-school. It's been fun seeing him and the other boys.

That was easy...

Have you seen those commercials from Staples with the big red button that says, "that was easy" on it? The principal at my boys school has one in her office that has become one of my kids favorite toys to play with while I'm in there chatting with her. They'll push that button like 50 times!
This morning I'm sitting in there with her talking and Brig's is playing with a few toys she has in her shelf and also playing with the red button from Staples. As he's happily playing he begins to fill his diaper and it's loud! Then about 5 seconds later Brig's pushes the button, "That was easy!" It was so funny. We were both cracking up. It was perfect timing.
So, thank you Staples for making us laugh!

Passy's

We were all together last night in the car driving when I was updating Scott that Brig's no longer takes a passy. Tyler over heard and asks, "Why mom, did you sell them all?" :)
We may be tight on cash, but I would never sell passy's nor buy used ones! He is so funny!

Names

We haven't decided on a name yet. We like a ton, but just aren't sure which one will suit this sweet baby best. Scott is confident this is our LAST boy. So it puts a little more pressure on me to make sure it's a strong, powerful, great name. We do a little test with the first, middle and last name and put Mr., Dr., Pres. and others in front of it. But it needs to be cute for a baby too. We're also big into shortening the name (William/Will...) We also have not duplicated any first letters in the first or middle names.

In no particular order....

Preston
Nathan (Nate)
Harrison
Camden
Simon
Spencer
Landon
Grant
Brandon

For middle names we still love Joseph (my mom's grandpa's name). But, haven't really thought of the middle until we get the first name list down to a few.
Thoughts?
