Phase 1...Complete

Phase one of gardening is complete. We planted several starters in egg cartons last week. We got rid of most of the wood in our backyard. The boys helped to move a bunch of rocks and larger sticks for the planting area. We turned over most of the soil and we will get a rota tiller out there within a couple of days. (If it doesn't snow or rain a ton!) I mapped out how the garden will be formed and the boys all choose different fruits and veggies they want in the garden. I can't wait! The soil is wonderful! I know this year the garden will flourish and thrive! I love gardening. I love being outside working it. I'll keep you posted on phase two...Coming soon!

LDS Business College

Scott works at LDS Business College a couple nights a week teaching Medical Assisting courses. We brought all the boys to class last Thursday night so the students could "practice" of them. The took measurements of height, weight and head circumference. My boys loved it. The students were all so nice.

THANK YOU LDSBC!!!

After, we headed out for a yummy lunch. I also went shopping at Hobby Lobby and Ikea. I had a wonderful day!!

Felicia's Senior Project

We drove up to Logan so see Felicia's senior performance. It was great! She gave monologues, sang songs, made us laugh, and cry. She is very talented and it was a fun evening!!

Lots of wonderful friends and family came up for the performance. It was nice to hang out with family we haven't seen in a long time.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

The boys all wore green clothes to school and we spray painted their hair green as well. I wanted to make the boys something a little extra special for St. Patrick's Day, so I decided to make these YUMMY rainbow cupcakes. (As soon as they cool, I'll frost them with a dollop of white frosting and lay them on a pile of those gold chocolate coins!!)

The little guys helped me make them and they were so excited as I kept filling the cupcake tins with different colors, slowing making a rainbow.
I pulled one of the tops off to peek inside and look how beautiful, and yummy, they turned out!!

Thank you Fabulessly Frugal for this cute and easy idea!!

Birthday Boy!

Happy, happy birthday Brigham! He is three years old even though he looks like he's five! I gave him a quarter this morning and he was thrilled! He loves saving quarters and using them at the grocery store for some candy or gum. It's the little things!

After a FREE lunch we headed to 31 Flavors for some FREE Ice cream!

After all the boys arrived home we headed to Fat Cats (it's like Chuck E. Cheese, but nicer and cleaner!)When we told Brig's that where we were heading he yells, "Ugh, Cats are stupid!" No, were not going to see a real cat!

Nathan played on this game for a long time and kept turning the wheel. Look how cute his finger is pushing the button!

Brigham jamming out on Dance Dance Revolution!
We ate dinner at the pizzeria located next to Fat Cats and it was yummy! Brigs opened all his fun gifts (Bubbles, coloring book, bouncy ball, more bubbles, and the animals that grow when you add them to water. Every time we'd sing to him he would sing along saying, "Happy birthday to meeeee!"
It was a FUN day! Happy Birthday big guy! I love you so much!

Hairy Shoes

Tyler was having a hard time getting ready for church on Sunday and did not want to wear his church shoes. After probing him a little he said he didn't want to wear his "Hairy Shoes" anymore! What a funny description of his (very old) shoes! Those were Will's, Jackson's and now his. We went yesterday and bought some new ones, hairless ones!

More Basketball

Like I said earlier, the week long tournament was a blast. Between games, during time-outs and half time all the kids would run out and shoot baskets. It was such a fun week! Above is Tyler shootin' some. He was too young to play this year but is already excited for next year!

My games were on Thursday and Friday night and it was so fun! I did make this shot with a foil, and made the free throw! I received the "ICBYST" award from the tournament. (I can't believe you said that!) Now, I do have a potty mouth. BUT, I never said a single bad word in the entire tournament so I was really confused WHY I had received this award. The main guy running the entire tournament was also a ref for several games. I had told him the ref's for my first game sucked! And that's why he game me the award! (Relief!)
During the breaks even Gavin would run out and play a little. He'd throw the ball as high as he could and never came close to the rim, but that didn't stop him! He kept throwing the ball over and over again! He was adorable out there!

Basketball Tournament

Our ward hosts a basketball tournament every year for the past 45 years! Anyone who has ever lived in the Rosecrest 1st ward can play. They have a men's league which consisted of 10 teams (12 yrs old and up), 2 youth teams (8-11 years old) and 2 woman's teams. I can coach of one of the teams!!

There were posters all over the gym, they made risers and set-up chairs everywhere, has the nursery open and the halls blocked off, and in other other gym the YM and YW served food for their annual fundraiser. There was a lot going on and it was so fun! Games were Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm.
The youth played two nights and Will and Jackson were on the same team the first night they played.

Scott even played, but his team didn't do so well and only played twice and were eliminated from the tournament. It was fun to watch all the teams play, eat food, mingle and have a wonderful time with my ward family.

What a great tradition!
