Eight is Great!!
On March 1st was a very special day for our family, especially for Gavin. He was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was such a special event filled with the spirit.
There were so many wonderful friends and family members in attendance to share in the special event with us. Nana's flight was delayed, then cancelled, so she was not there. We ended up face-timing her so she could be part of this special event.
Congratulations Gavin!! We are so proud of you for the choices you've made and the young man you are becoming. You bring such wonderful blessings to our family!

Gavin's almost EIGHT!!!
I realized the other day that Gavin will be 8 years old in a couple of weeks. Such wonderful news! He is so excited to be baptized and start Cub Scouts. I am excited for him too.
We went around the yard taking a few pictures so I could put together a baptism announcement to mail out to close friends and family.
Here is the announcement Scott and I made to send out. I think it turned out great!!

Baptism
A few months ago, Scott was walking into work and asked a co-worker and friend what he was doing as he walked past. The friend answered something like "just getting in some B-O-M time..." Scott walked past him and continued down to his workstation in the ER. It was then that he stopped dead in his tracks. This friend was not LDS and Scott wasn't sure what else BOM could stand for, besides Book of Mormon. He went back to ask more questions and sure enough, his non-LDS co-worker was reading the Book of Mormon. This instantly grabbed Scott's attention and thus began many conversations and questions answered about the gospel.
A few months later he had a strong desire to be baptized and asked Scott to preform this wonderful ordinance. Of course, Scott agreed and was honored to do so.
It was such a unique experience for me, never meeting this guy before this special day. As I watched him I could tell he was little nervous and excited, like a child. It was powerful to watch a grown man choose the gospel of Jesus Christ in his life. His face lit up as he entered the waters of baptism and continued after the ordinance was performed.
Such a wonderful day! Such a beautiful experience!

Tyler's Baptism
My sweet Tyler had a birthday and turned a magical number, 8. This is a big deal in our family, like many of yours. Tyler has been excited for months about the opportunity he has to be baptized. It was such a wonderful event filled with happiness and love.
Right before the event took place we were able to get some shots of him with Scott in front of the font.
On Tyler's special day we had a lot of friends and family in attendance. The kids from his primary class came, grandma and grandpa, Nana and Papa, cousins from out of town, friends from Provo and lots of family in SLC.
THANKS everyone for making this day a little bit more special for him!

Jackson's Baptism
Today was an extra special day for our family. We've been talking about it for months. Jackson has been excited for this event and anticipating it for some time now. When our boys turn 8 years old a couple things happen before their big day. Jackson and I went shopping for a brand new suit. It's a black pin striped one. It looks so sharp on him. Jackson also picked out an adorable bow tie to go along with it. It's so him. Nana and us bought him his first set of scriptures that we had monogrammed with his name on it. We arrived at the stake center where 7 other little boys and girls met to be baptized. Jackson was the only child from our ward. We all met together in the chapel and then moved to an individual room where the baptism was performed by Scott. Jackson had a pretty good turn out of family and friends. Nana and Papa had flown in and some of Scott's family drove in, his primary teacher, cub scout leader, primary presidency, close family friends, cub master, Bishop, and children from his primary class were all there to show their support and love for Jackson. Jackson looked so handsome in his white baptismal outfit. When Scott and Jack walked into the water all the other children were able to sit in the front to watch. Brigham and Gavin almost went in. (Jumped in really!) Tyler kept telling me he wanted to be baptized too. That is so cool! What a great example Will and Jackson are to the other little brothers.
