Golf Themed Birthday Par-Tee

For Tyler's 7th birthday we planned a FUN golf themed par-tee! In the main table I had green visors, green cupcakes, green drinks, green candy and other cute green things.

In the morning it was raining and super cold. We thought we should plan on a "plan B" just in case the rain didn't let up. Two hours before that par-tee it stopped raining and the sun came out. The par-tee was from 2-4pm. About 4:30 it started to get cold again and sprinkle!
When the kids first came in they made visors. (GREAT idea...we didn't know most of the children there, but it was easy to say their names after they made their craft!!)

I made these cute flag that I placed in different depths of the yard. The children came up in groups of three and tried to get their ball as close to the flag as possible.

The next game we played was "Spoons". The children got into teams of 2 and played against other teams. You place your ball on a spoon and have to move as quickly as possible down the length of the grass area as you can. If the ball falls off you have to pick it up and start again. Will and I were a team against Gavin and Jackson. You can clearly see above who won...:)

Tyler and Jaxson ( a friend from school) won the entire game!! Chest bumps all around!
Next, we went tot he church paring lot to see how far the kids could hit their ball. (We didn't use real gold balls...we used wiffle balls!!)
 Everyone had two turns...

 Cupcakes and drinks...
 ...opening gifts...
...and we ended with the pinata!
We had 21 3rd grader5s there! Friends from church, school and some family. It was a lot of fun!

HAPPY, HAPPY birthday TYLER!!!
